Elevation grid
by Vasily Vl. Suhachev 18 Nov '12

18 Nov '12

Hello Is there a way to make Therion not add one cell of grid at the top and bottom of the extended elevation map? After adding grid with export map -proj extended -layout-grid-size 250 250 250 m I have the following problems 1) large empty space at top and bottom of map 2) problems with old scale of map (Map is too large for PDF format. Try smaller scale!) -- WBR, Vasily

Re: [Therion] Therion Digest, Vol 83, Issue 18

I took a look at Bruce's code, in particular Code to redefine area and point water symbols . This looks like something I'd like to use but how and where do I define the colour eg. if known colour_water_bg: thfill Path withcolor colour_water_bg; else: thfill Path withcolor white; fi; On 16 Nov 2012, at 11:00, therion-request(a)speleo.sk wrote: > Send Therion mailing list submissions to > therion(a)speleo.sk > > To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit > http://mailman.speleo.sk/mailman/listinfo/therion > or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to > therion-request(a)speleo.sk > > You can reach the person managing the list at > therion-owner(a)speleo.sk > > When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific > than "Re: Contents of Therion digest..." > > > Today's Topics: > > 1. Metapost modifications
by Dave Clucas 16 Nov '12

In Mulu many of the passages are part filled with sandstone pebbles. I'd like to create a user area and a user symbol based on pebbles where the ellipses are filled with a colour (light brown). Can anybody tell me how to modify the standard definition? Dave Clucas dave(a)daveclucas.com http://daveclucas.com http://mycaves.org

loop misclosure error distribution
by Cepe 14 Nov '12

14 Nov '12

Hi! it is possibile to force Therion to compute one part of a loop and then to compute the remain part keeping the first computed part fixed or, in other words, to distribute the misclosure error only in the second part of the loop? Sorry for my very poor english. area dimensions
by Bruce 13 Nov '12

I notice in the Therion source metapost there is an 'area dimensions'. It seems to be a clone of 'area bedrock', but perhaps there is a more cunning purpose? What is it for and how is it used? Bruce

Debug giving error
by Andrew Atkinson 13 Nov '12

13 Nov '12

5.3.9 on Debian wheezy I have obviously made a mistake when drawing up this elevation, as it is far to large. To try and get a clue I tried debug on It had compiled with debug off but gave an error with debug on (and all as well) **data.mp (mpost.mp (/usr/share/texlive/texmf-dist/metapost/base/plain.mp Preloading the plain mem file, version 1.004)) (./data.mp [4001] [4002] [4003] [4004] [4005] [4006] [4007] [4008] [4009] [4010] [4011] [4012] >> (nan-47.616,nan-3.48695,1,0,0,1) ! Transform components aren't all known. <to be read again> endgroup data->...i;lab:=thelabel(SUFFIX2)((EXPR3),(EXPR4)) ;if(EXPR6)>1:pickup.PenD.f... l.4815 ...char50 \mainfont{} etex,(nan,nan),0.0,6) ; I'm unable to apply a partially specified transformation except to a fully known pair or transform. Proceed, and I'll omit the transformation. debug first, station-names, second work thanks Andrew

Te Reo Terione translation corrections to 5.3.10
by Bruce 13 Nov '12

13 Nov '12

Thanks for adding the Te Reo Maori translation, mi: to Therion Some minor corrections. Two of the entries should have lower case letters for mi: Line 585 & 600 of texts.txt should have a lower case 'p' Also should mention the existence of the Te Reo Maori, and have some credits in the Therion Book translations table for 'map header'. Translated by Kyle Davis, Bruce Mutton Cheers Bruce

Strange loch file
by Martin Sluka 12 Nov '12

12 Nov '12

I received totally fuzzy model .lox file. The reason was simple: two lines type wall were overlapped 1 segment of lines (first one first segment and second one last segment). My mistake, but to find it was quite detective work. m.s.

colour by map
by Andrew Atkinson 12 Nov '12

12 Nov '12

When you have coloured by map, in the header there Therion automatically added a legend of what colours go with each map. Generally I do not find this useful, but cannot find a way to turn it off, without doing a \def\maplayout in code, which seems over the top. Is it possible to turn off the map colour legend without resorting to code. It would be very useful to be able to stitch this off without having to redefine the header! Andrew
