kml color
by Philippe Vernant 25 Oct '25

Hi guys, I can’t find a way to change the light greyish color of the kml export except by going into the kml file and change it after it has been created. Is there a way to specify the color when creating the kml ? Thanks, Phil

Change altitude colours
by Paul Rowe 01 Jan '24

When using: *colour map-fg altitude* ... is it possible to change the default colours used? I could see notes about setting this scrap by scrap, but not for the automatic graduation of altitude colours. Thanks Paul Rowe

New package needed - Therion 6.2.0 on Fedora 39
by Bill Gee 21 Dec '23

21 Dec '23

I jumped on this quick! :-) And ran into a problem. This happens when running cmake. The solution was to install catch2-devel using DNF. Note that there is also a package called "catch22-devel" which I did not install. After installing catch2-devel, the compile and install proceeded with no problems. =============== -- Checking for module 'proj' -- Found proj, version 9.2.1 CMake Error at cmake/Catch2.cmake:17 (find_package): By not providing "FindCatch2.cmake" in CMAKE_MODULE_PATH this project has asked CMake to find a package configuration file provided by "Catch2", but CMake did not find one. Could not find a package configuration file provided by "Catch2" with any of the following names: Catch2Config.cmake catch2-config.cmake Add the installation prefix of "Catch2" to CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH or set "Catch2_DIR" to a directory containing one of the above files. If "Catch2" provides a separate development package or SDK, be sure it has been installed. Turning LIDAR point clouds into cave maps
by Bill Gee 12 Dec '23

12 Dec '23

Hello everyone - This is probably more of a general practices question than something specific to Therion. Among the group there is likely to be some experience with this. I hope at minimum someone can guide me to a place for further learning. A few years ago Apple released a very high-end smartphone which has a LIDAR feature (iPhone 12 Pro). There are a few more models now which have it. I have heard of some people using this to create cave maps. There is much I do not understand. Has anyone in the group taken the point cloud from an Apple LIDAR scan and turned it into a Therion cave map? If so, I am very interested in the details of the process. The biggest issue I see is this: How does the iPhone know where it is? There is no GPS in a cave. GPS is not accurate enough even if it did work. Inertial navigation also has big problems dealing with a cave environment. There are many other issues, but I think that is the big one. Thanks! -- =============== Bill Gee

using Survex files in Therion
by Rodrigo Severo 05 Dec '23

05 Dec '23

Hi, I am trying to use survex 3d files in Therion. AFAICT, 3d files don't include the extra info that a svx file accepts like team, export, etc, only the actual centerline. How can I set, for example, the team responsable for the centerline if I am importing a 3d file? Regards, Rodrigo Severo
