kml color
by Philippe Vernant 25 Oct '25

Hi guys, I can’t find a way to change the light greyish color of the kml export except by going into the kml file and change it after it has been created. Is there a way to specify the color when creating the kml ? Thanks, Phil

Transparency and connection issue
by david Le berre 23 Mar '23

Dear All New comer on this forum and new user of Therion for 18 months, I'm currently stucked by 2 issues that are certainly obvious for most of you but after lots of trials I dare to ask you!!! 1- Transparency on colour filled areas: Since I have colored some areas and customized some colors as well, I have lost transparency on overlapping cavities. Despite many trials in the layouts no success.I use in my layout for exemple: #clay-orange def a_clay (expr p) = T:=identity; thfill p withcolor (0.96, 0.82, 0.55); enddef; Result it looks better but it is far more difficult to understand some overlapping areas, see hereunder. I guess if I define a special pattern including 50% of colour and 50% of non-colored pixel it could work but I'm not skilled enough to play with metapost.Any ideas to have the transparency back? 2. Connexions lines for offseted scraps:My project covers a 4 kms cave that I have splitted into 4 sub-projects (called networks), I work in each network and gather them to get final export, usually I use connexion point in the scrap. - Network 1 is above Network 2, therefore in the final presentation I offset Network 2 - Network 2 includes itself offseted areas which appear well when I work on export of Network 2 only. When I compile the global project all connexion's doted lines inside network 2 appears then linked to the shadow of the network 2 offseted from the Network 1 instead of staying linked to the Network 2 representation, result is hawfull with dotted lines crossing every where and ending in the shadow area.Any ideas to maintain local connexion dotted line where they were at the beginning? Thanks in advance David

Upgrade to Fedora 37 - Problems with proj packages
by Bill Gee 04 Jan '23

04 Jan '23

I think this is not really a Therion problem, but it is likely to affect Therion users who run Fedora. The recent release of Fedora 37 does not have the proj package that Therion requires. Attempting an upgrade gives this: Error: Problem: package therion-6.1.2-1.fc36.x86_64 requires libproj.so.22()(64bit), but none of the providers can be installed - proj-8.2.1-6.fc36.x86_64 does not belong to a distupgrade repository - problem with installed package therion-6.1.2-1.fc36.x86_64 -- =============== Bill Gee

Wiki Table of contents
by Andrew Atkinson 19 Nov '22

Hi all I was editing the wiki and on page https://therion.speleo.sk/wiki/contrib:complimentarycaveapps#other_applicat… I had added a couple of sections and was wondering if it would be better if the TOC didn't have the page title and went a level deeper so that a quick view of what was available would be possible. I think it would also make each bit linkable. It looks like I should be able to do that with maxtoclevel=3 and toptoclevel=2 Is this something I can do, if so how do I use them on a page thanks Andrew

Really it would be good if there was a function in therion that found them, even better would be to remove them > > > May you direct me to locality, you use you macro for blocks, please? All the blocks in the whole of the repository use it as http://www.cave-registry.org.uk/svn/CheddarCatchment/Symbols/Areas/a_blocks… is called from the common layout http://www.cave-registry.org.uk/svn/CheddarCatchment/common_layout.th (by a bit of a route) All this really needs tidying up, it has slowly expanded since I started using Therion many years ago, I did start to tidy but... To run just an individual part try http://www.cave-registry.org.uk/svn/CheddarCatchment/Bagpit/Bagpit/BagpitP.… There seems to be files missing form the repro, another job that needs to be fixed Andrew

Help with extended elevation drawing
by Elfi Hristova 10 Nov '22

10 Nov '22

Hi I am asking for help with extend elevation of a section in a map I am drawing. I have 3 surveys that join in a loop. I want to extend from the place where I have rope but it will not work. On the picture this is station 99. I tried with: extend ignore 33 34 @map1, (I get error “Number is too large.. .some numbers” when compiling) extend ignore 0 1 @mapConnections (does nothing) extend start 99 @map2 (does nothing) equates are: 99@map1 99@map2, 0@map3 100@map2 34@map1 0@mapConenction 1@mapConnection 3@map3 Could somebody please point me what is the correct order of extend commands so the drawing can continue from station 99, not 34? Thanks, Efi
