[Therion] th_formdef.tex runaway text error - LuaTeX

Thanks martin, that makes sense.

I thought I had a recent snapshot, but not recent enough.

I installed Therion 67248d35 and set it up for Luatex.  It compiled a small test project, but fails to render the png background sketches and reports this warning.

 

C:\Program Files\Therion\therion.exe: warning -- unable to read D:/CaveSurvey/th_Canaan/150Tomo/./ptopo/1- 50TomoPlanSketch-300-02of02-transparent.png -- Magick: NoDecodeDelegateForThisImageFormat `D:/CaveSurvey/th_Canaan/150Tomo/./ptopo/1-50TomoPlanSketch-300-02of02-transparent.png' @ error/constitute.c/ReadImage/739

 

Reverting my therion.ini and application back to Therion d6d9a18f all is well again.

 

So for now I will pause my luatex adventure until the recent round of Therion edits settles down.  Since the string “decode” turns up in my error and features in recent commits, I expect they are the culprit.

 

Should I create an issue on github, or will this message be sufficient to prompt another look at decode?

Oh, I meant a recent snapshot of Therion, sorry for the confusion. LuaTeX is now included in the windows installer.

I’ll need some more hand holding.

I can find https://github.com/lualatex which gives many variations that I cannot make sense of, and https://gitlab.lisn.upsaclay.fr/texlive/luatex which looks like it has a definitive install, but it is not github.

Is it one of these?

you need

- a recent development snapshot from github

- to specify the full path to luatex.exe, like pdftex-path "C:/Program files/Therion/bin/windows/luatex.exe"

'luatex' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Running my thconfig with XTherion, there is no mention of Luatex.  I get a log file that ends with…

C:\Program Files\Therion\therion.exe: error -- pdftex exit code -- 1

writing xtherion file ... done

 

I checked my %APPDATA%\ folders, and the only Therion related ini in there is Loch.ini

Any ideas?
