[Therion] 3 Map-connection issue - effect of map-level

Hi Tarquin
Yes, I added a lot of tedious detail to https://github.com/therion/therion/issues/412 some time ago.
I suggest ignoring most of the information I posted in there and skipping right to the last post I made on 11 July 2022.
The images from that particular example are from a project that is modelled directly on what I understand is the typical UK usage of Therion, as resulting from TopParser and SexyTopo exports - that first level maps are defined directly in the corresponding survey.
The images in my earlier posts (Laghu) are from a project modelled on my so far preferred paradigm, where first level maps are defined outside of the corresponding survey, but are subsequently included in the parent (ie whole cave) survey.
The behaviour I observe with respect to this matter is identical for both Therion project configurations.
I’d probably need to see some actual map definition examples and resulting outputs, Tarquin, each having map-connection points/lines in each sub-map so that I can understand how you have made it work (or not) ;‑)
For starters, lets see if Martin S can provide a bit more detail on his example.
Bruce

As I said in my previous emails (our different thread "Map connection issue" from 2 years ago), I only ever use 2 levels, and it works perfectly. And it also worked when I tried to expand it into more levels. We discussed what I do there, that made it work correctly:

I thought Bruce prepared some samples that made it go wrong, so that a bug could be filed.
Cheers,
Tarquin
