I have to say that I like the new look altitude shading in 6.0.0
One small request though. It seems that the length of the colour legend is
fixed, regardless of the number of altitudes specified in a lookup.
This can have a detrimental effect on layouts where the number of altitudes
specified have been intentionally kept small. Is it possible to scale the
length of the bar based on the number of altitudes so that it fits the
standard variable module length used for other colour legends?
The images below show what can happen otherwise.
I tried using the 'smooth-shading off' option in the hope that the altitude
legend format would revert to the old style, but there is no difference; it
comes out the same as if 'smooth-shading quick' is set.
I have included an output with 'colour map-fg explo-date' and
'smooth-shading quick' as a comparison, just to confirm that other colour
layout options use the old style colour legend, and that 'smooth-shading
quick' only applies to applies to altitudes.
