Okay so have I now, well I think that I had before, but had not found
the method to find it.

In my thconfig file I'm using

export model -cs EPSG:27700 -fmt esri -output BagpitModel.shp

Inside that directory I'm importing shots3d.shp to QGIS. On import I get
the error

CRS was undefined: defaulting to CRS EPSG:4326 - WGS 84

So I then have to set it manually to EPSG:27700. It still in the middle
of the Atlantic, which feels like a datum error in the file, but
probably my incompetence.

Its also in a 2d plain, but not even started to go there yet.
