[Therion] Doubled legend and cyrillic in metapost

Dear Therion users,

I've got few issues with map header customization using metapost and tex code.

1.  Then I am trying to move north arrow and legend somehere away from main map header  using "\def\maplayout {\legendbox{5}{90}{NW}}"  code the legend and norh arrow is printed twice.

 

I'm sure I've made a mistake here but after few days of messing with the code result is still the same.

2.  Then I use custom scalebar code from Therion wiki everything seem to work fine with latin text "Scale 1 : 100"  but if I try to change this to cyrillic "Масштаб 1 : 100"
     compiling fails with: error -- metapost exit code -- 3
Is it something wrong with metapost installation or system variables or the fact that some encodings became an addon in recent version? 
I am using Therion 5.4.1 on Windows 7 x64.

3.  Is there a way to define a custom point showing depth rather than altitude?    Point "altitude" is using "thaltitude" or  "thheight" variablles to get altitude value but can we use  "thaltitude - cavemaxz" expression to calculate the tdepth?  Or maybe there is some metapost code to define a depth-bar instead of altitude grid?

P.S. sorry for Russian comments in the code... hope it will be more or less straightforward to understand.
