Stacho disabled it shortly before 5.4.0 was released:
commit 856debf20df0913b279d122fa488c0358748132b
Author: Stacho Mudrak <stacho.mudrak at gmail.com>
Date: Mon Apr 3 20:09:26 2017 +0200
Removed map colour option. It should be defined in layout, not source files.
commit ed00c08b02db29c134dd29429b09d8c39e091c86
Author: Stacho Mudrak <stacho.mudrak at gmail.com>
Date: Mon Apr 3 20:07:06 2017 +0200
Removed map colour option. It should be defined in layout, not source files.
If you're building from git, revert those two commits and it ought to work.
