Many thanks to all for the answers!

I work with Asus A696. It works without any problems since 4 years.

I must say, I havn`t not found “many” Dell Axim or HPs on Ebay. Yes, there are some more for over 100€, but that price in inacceptable for that old device. 4 others are at an acceptable price in the moment…..Hope, there is no other colleague in the moment, who needs one…..

I hope, there will be a version of Pocketopo not only for Windows mobile. Particularly because the Calibration-Funktion of that program. Even if there is an Lion-akku in the Distox2 or mµ-sheet in the Distox1, you must calibrate the device from time to time.

Martin: Thanks for advise us of the Panasonic CF18/19. May be interesting.

With Axim no any problem.

What is interesting too: there are plenty of cheap Toughbooks CF-18 and CF-19 on eBay.

There has been some minor incidents. We have used them in many caves, since DistoX arrived. And are still using them (some without protection)
