[Therion] preview above/below in elevation maps? --> map-level selection problem

Thanks for discovering the meaning of the select and map-level statement in
Thbook.  Another mystery unraveled!
 
I am also a bit uncertain on 'revise' and would look forward to any examples
related to Xaviers example.  Based on some forum posts, I have managed to
use it successfully to change the -station-names settings from within a
scrap as in halfway down this page

I can imagine that the preferable 'select - map-level' behaviour would
differ for 'export map' and 'export atlas', and that might be why the
map-level has to "match exactly".
 
I'd better leave it to someone who knows what they are talking about.
