I absolutely agree with Bruce. Human readable and editable plaint text
format is one of the main advantages of therion. Compare it with XML -
so many characters they have no real meaning.
You may use Inkscape as a helper editor. You should download Thomas
Holder's extensions only. Check wiki for the address. You may use
Inkscape features to edit existing .th2 files or create new ones. Only
final edit is necessary in xtherion map editor - defining areas and
several other features. You may use colors to mark kind of objects for
example (areas with closed borders too) and preserve it in svg format.
Only at the end you should save the file as .th2.
