Interesting, I do get the reverse effect (more or less) as below.

If I export with the entire cave selected I get ALL the survey levels (in
this case 2) ...

set XVIgrids {100.0 m}
set XVIstations {
  {     1509.49       687.60 a1 at a.MiddleEarth}
  {     -578.28      -471.77 AA1 at AA.MiddleEarth}
  {     -591.96      -436.85 AA2 at AA.MiddleEarth}
  {     -589.51      -459.88 AA3 at AA.MiddleEarth}

If I export a single survey I get NO survey levels ...

set XVIgrids {100.0 m}
set XVIstations {
  {     -177.37       -39.47 ie1.34}
  {     -157.96       -36.00 ie1.48}
  {     -163.48       -52.97 ie1.49}
(These are from pockettopo, so the .34 etc is the station number, not the
survey 'level')

>But in XVI I had only station numbers, not
>number at part1.part2.part3.cave. And after insert "point station" in th2 I
>should add @part1.part2.part3.cave into text editor

BTW adding this to the scrap definition will mean you only have to type it
once.
-station-names [] @part1.part2.part3.cave ## avoids including in individual
station names
