I also had problems with importing dxf into grass z=0. The dxf was produced from survex 3d file. I also have a dxf to shp converter. If you want I can try to convert one of your files. I've never worked with watershed analysis so that I can't really help on that topic. But I'm also looking for a way to get a nicer 3d model of the cave, at the moment I only have a polygon plot...
