Hi Martin, looks like a good Idea. But if I change Symbol set to SKBB I get: for handrail L. I have in my config-file: symbol-set UIS symbol-assign line handrail SKBB If I comment the second line out and do the first line to SKBB I get the same result. And the next thing is: I get in the legend the word "Handrail" (Gelaender) but it is in reality a "hauling track" (Transportbahn). Where or how can I change the text in the legend for example? Hi Markus Changing text in legend should work with (in your config file): Text en „line handrail“ „text you want“ „En“ is depending on your choice of language. May be you are using „de“!? Cheers, Torsten

Hi Torsten, If I do so as you and Henry describe I get the error: unknown option -- text de "Geländer" "Transportbahn". Because of the german sign, I have tried it with all in english: Language en Text en “handrail” “Transportbahn” or text en “line handrail” “Transportbahn” or text en “line handrail” “line Transportbahn”. Nothing works. And I don`t find the subdir thlang in my installation. So I have renewed it but ther e is still no subdir thlang. Sometimes Therion is exasperating L. Regards Markus PS. Hi Markus Of course you can: Torsten.schnitter@netcologne.de Concerning German words with ä, ö and ü you have to change your config file from utf to iso-... (can‘t remember the correct number) format. Cheers, Torsten

Ok, Torsten, thanks a lot! Now I have found “the problem”. The text-command must be outside Layout-Endlayout J. It is iso8859-1 but that is standard by my files J. The handrail symbol is part of SKBB symbol set, so, I think, it is OK.

Copy definition of handrail and use it as your user defined symbol in layout definition. And in such case you may define your name for it. m.s.
