Geodetic coordinate system support in therion
In the last developement snapshot, there is integrated PROJ4 library that enables therion to work with geodetic coordinate systems (currently UTM and Lat/Long and czechoslovak JTSK :). Usage is simple: cs long-lat fix 0 19:10 40:30 1500 will fix point 0 at E19deg10min N40deg30min 1500 m a.s.l. The output in this case will be in UTM zone 34 grid (zone automatically calculated). If you would like add and use your national coordinate systems, please ask for it. If you do not like it, nothing happens and ad-hoc local coordinate system will be used by default as before. S. P.S. If you will ask for your CS, it would be great if you could send us parametrization string of your coordinate system in PROJ4 library format (see http://proj.maptools.org).

What happens if you fix two points which happen to lie in different UTM zones? This situation occurs in one of our project areas, which straddles a UTM zone boundary. Duncan On 10/18/06, Philip Schuchardt <ohc@vt.edu> wrote:

No problem in input data. For output you either choose utm zone manually or let therion to fix the zone according the zone of the first fixed point processed. Martin On 10/22/06, Duncan Collis <duncan.collis@gmail.com> wrote:
