Hi again This may have been covered before. but a quick search doesn't show up anything. As in the picture below, I have a continuation listed in my .th file, thus; station RJ59a "continues; silt almost fills, air is 'fresh'" \ dig continuation attr Code "Needs Digging" \ explored 100m The question mark and text generated is aligned top-right of the survey station by default. As you can see, in this case it would be better aligned bottom-left. Is there a way of doing this? I tried adding -align l to the above statements, and as I more or less expected received an error for my effort. (I'm using the 5.2.2 update, and I notice that the handy section at the end of the Therion book that comes with 5.2 has been dropped off.) Thanks in advance Bruce

It is there, just: 1. compile samples - do make in samples directory 2. recompile thbook - do make in thbook directory m.
Hmm I'm a Windows user. Should that response mean anything to me, or is it intended for users of real operating systems :) I have no thbook directory, and 'make' means nothing to me. I'm sorry, I send you thbook by private mail. m.

Exporting continuation labels to the map was just something like debugging option. I would probably use ordinary labels in your case. If you definitely need to align it, you can do it by defining another custom attribute e.g. add "attr text_align top" and use this attribute in metapost code that generates this label. Unfortunatelly, I have no time right now to make it :(

It was a mistake, I will fix it in next snapshot... Best regards, S.

Thanks Stacho, Martin I can live with it as it is, I kind of like the coloured labels, and as you say, it's like 'debugging mode' for a cave exploration in progress... I can see how to tweak the metapost code in some respects myself, but I may leave the definition of another metapost for some time as well :) Bruce
