Error morphing scanned extended profiles survey sketches
Hi, I have this problem: the xviresult file of the morphing processwith extended profiles is erroneous. The centerline and sketch don't are superposed. The xvi is at 0 0 position, but the sketch are very displaced in Y direction (X it's OK), far 350000000 units. I can do a manual solution but I think it's not normal to have to do this. Calculating the displacement error and manually editing the xvi file with and external editor, to correct the sketch Y coordinate. Thanks, Evaristo Quiroga
Dear Evaristo, There is a bug that has been first raised in 2011 and that has still been discussed last year (https://mailman.speleo.sk/pipermail/therion/2016-December/006121.html). I guess that this is what you are referring to. I do not think this is normal too but I know no other solution that manually shifting the morphed sketches with the xtherion interface or editing the coordinates with a text editor in the xvi file. I wish this bug could be corrected one day. Best Xavier Le 05-Jan-18 à 17:28, Evaristo Quiroga via Therion a écrit :

Hi Xavier, Thanks for the link, previously I don't found anything because I have searched "morphing extended profile". I experienced the sames problems you have described. If you move manually the sketch in Xterion map editor, you have to do again every time you open the .th2 file. I found a better solution by looking the original sketch coordinates in the map editor. Move the sketch, and look the new coordinated. I have found only the Y coordinate is wrong, the X coordinate is OK. I calculate the Y coordinate difference. I open externally the xvi, and change the sketch Y coordinate (subtracting the difference coordinate found in Xtherion). After this, the problem is solved and never again the sketch is wrong placed. Hi, Like Vasily, I have found only the morphed extended XVI file are wrong, the plan XVI file are OK. The problem is a error in the calculation of the Sketch Y coordinate . The coordinate information is in the XVI file, this the reason because any change in Xtherion map editor don't solve the problem. It's a program bug that wrong calculate the Y coordinate. To resolve properly it has to be corrected by Therion programmers. Evaristo. El 05/01/2018 a las 19:43, Evaristo Quiroga via Therion escribió:

Hello I found some trick to fix XVI wrong placement problem On a dedicated XVI thconfig use such commands source centerline fix 62@stels1.stels 0 0 0 endcenterline endsource Station to fix is should be upper station in current elevation XVI Please test this workaround... I hope it is working 06.01.2018 02:03, Evaristo Quiroga via Therion пишет:

Hi Vasily, Thanks, it's not the definitive solution but it's a good trick. The problem is really related to fix command. When I comment the "fix" and "cs" commands in my survey , the displacement is not as big as before (357000000 units). Now the sketch is in the upper xvi limit. I have tested your trick in 4 extended elevation sketch, and it's OK for 3, for the 4º I have only tu displace -7m in Z dimension (fix station 0 0 -7). The only minor problem with the trick is when you want put together the 4 sketch. With the plan sketch I can move manually the xvi to 0 0, and all the sketch are moved to the right place. Now I have to move manually every sketch to superpose with the original XVI without morphed sketch. But you only have to do this one time, after the sketch and xvi associated are good placed the next time you open the .th2 file. Evaristo. El 06/01/2018 a las 3:42, Vasily Vl.
