GMANE link not working
I notice the <http://dir.gmane.org/gmane.comp.gis.therion> GMANE searchable link at the bottom of the Therion wiki start page has not been working for a few days. It gives an error like this. dir.gmane.org's server DNS address could not be found. Has someone not paid their ISP or is there some other problem? I find it a very useful resource, so it would be nice if we could get it back Bruce
The volunteer who has run GMANE archive for many years seems to have had enough of the DoS attacks and retired the service <https://lars.ingebrigtsen.no/2016/07/28/the-end-of-gmane/>. There are many projects (much larger than Theiron) affected by this, and there is a reasonable chance that one of them will take over responsibility for the archives. Hi, it is google search engine feature so will work on google.com site and in any other browser using google search. Seems like message ids changed during mailing list transfer to the new server - maybe the archive was not copied but regenerated… So Google needs to reindex all pages and it will take some time :-( L.

Not only Google, DuckDuckGo engine works too. Not as smart as Google, but works. m.

I think "The Mail Archive” - https://www.mail-archive.com - is the best option for now so I subscribed archive@mail-archive.org to the mailing list and will work with Mail Archive admins on import of existing archives. L.
