Hmmm .... That is an interesting idea! It never occurred to me to put cross-sections on a different map. I am about to leave for a couple of weeks of canoeing in Canada. When I return I will take a closer look at Heartbreak Hill Thanks for the suggestion. =============== Bill Gee On 8/30/22 10:25, Andrew Atkinson wrote:

Is it possible to create a group or a context? Can I add more than one group or context to a symbol such as a cross-section?
I had completely forgotten about this way of doing it, although I used it for a different reason, therefore, it might not be useable in your case.
Look at (or download it)
http://www.cave-registry.org.uk/svn/CheddarCatchment/Goughs/
In this case I have put cross sections into a scrap (and then a map). For example HeartbreakHill has a file XSectionsHeartbreakHill.th2 in which there is a scrap XSectionSP
In the file HeartbreakHill.th I have then made it a map
map XSectionM XSectionSP endmap
As maps can be displayed or not displayed this could be used to have a couple of different sets of sections. Goodness knows how hard it is to manage
Good luck
Andrew
