Keeping photos in a separate file is, I think, a good idea, especially if there are a lot of them. As Nigel suggests, using point:photo and a label would connect them. The photo page could include captions and other descriptive text. If the photo pages and the map are both PDF, then it is trivial to join them into a single file for distribution. You could also have a page (or several!) of profiles appended to the main map. =============== Bill Gee On 5/13/24 05:24, Nigel via Therion wrote:
Thanks Bill.
Marco has clarified that "point:photo" in Topodroid is not complete. So, essentially, I shouldn't be using it. Event if it were complete, Therion is not programmed to handle it. As you suggest, in Therion it is simply placing a symbol, in this case a symbol that looks like a camera.
After what you say about placing photos being a pain, I'm now leaning toward putting the camera symbol on the map with a reference number associated with it and providing the images in separate lookup table somewhere. That probably serves my purpose just as well.
