i tried to load in loch (v. 5.3.12) a model with a jpeg texture exported by gimp (v. 2.8.2). the texture does not show.
if i convert (imagemagick) the texture, loch shows it.
I am not sure, but it is probably due to "Progressive" option checked, when saving an image. Same problem with Adobe photoshop. I have no idea, why libjpeg is not able to read these images (linked old version?).
Are you using the Debian packages? The version in 5.3.13 is libjpeg.so.8 from libjpeg8 v8d-2 same in 5.3.12 I wouldn't expect progressive jpegs to be an issue, although it's probably not the ideal format. If you file a bug with the example files someone might take a look. Wookey -- Principal hats: Linaro, Emdebian, Wookware, Balloonboard, ARM http://wookware.org/
