Thanks, Markus, for your suggestion and kind offer! Actually meanwhile I can manage the mix of bitmaps and genuine scraps quite well, thanks also to help by forum participants. Perhaps I should make a Wiki article about bitmap processing with Therion summarizing "best practice". I may need your help in other issues, for example, obtaining geo data for surface modelling. I'd then contact you directly. Michael. -----Original Message----- From: therion-bounces@speleo.sk [mailto:therion-bounces@speleo.sk] On Behalf Of Markus Boldt Sent: Mittwoch, 27. I know, it is very much work. But after you will have no Problems to add new parts and you will have all advantages of Therion. Assumed you have the old data of the centerline, that is clear. Some years ago, I have done the same with "Vetterhöhle" (2,5Km) and "Bärentalhöhle" (now 440m). The Vetterhöhle was drawn in AutoCad and that was a problem for me and others because of the very costy program and the use of it. The Bärentalhöhle was drawn simply with Tusche (is that the same word in English as in german?). 400m was not so much work, but enough. But today I`am lucky about that doing, because every year there comes some meters in addition. Drawing the Vetterhöhle in Therion was another thing, but at the end it was the best which someone can do. "Fuchslabyrinth" is very longer and so very more work, but in the end you will be lucky too. If you want, I can give you an offer: Give me the data and the corresponding bitmaps and I will help you part by part. So I have additionally an advantage; I don`t forget Therion :-) Greetings Markus PS. All other please over directly message in german :-) -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: therion-bounces@speleo.sk [mailto:therion-bounces@speleo.sk] Im Auftrag von Bruce (External) Gesendet: Mittwoch, 27. I hesitate to suggest this, but if you don't mind using a nasty hack, you could, for example set... flags approx ...on the route, and then redefine l_survey_cave to emphasise the approx centreline and make recessive other line flags. An example of the sort of code you could use is here http://therion.speleo.sk/wiki/doku.php/metapost?s[]=approx#general_symbol_ex amples "Visualize cave centreline shot flags with colour for splay and duplicate, and dash for approximate shot flags" This will only work with pdf and probably svg outputs, and will have no effect on 3d outputs. (Can't work with scraps, it's all bitmaps) Michael. _______________________________________________ Therion mailing list Therion@speleo.sk http://mailman.speleo.sk/mailman/listinfo/therion This message is intended solely for the designated recipient(s).
