OK, nice idea! I had considered manually creating the point sections in 
another scrap and map, outputting just that at a chosen scale, and then 
importing that into another map. But yes your script does that without 
all the manual labour.

Either way you can't keep them in situ, but in-situ is clutter anyway, 
so I am not going to cry about that.
