I wrote one that allows you to customise blocks differently per area.

It started with the number of sides, but has expanded to other things
including the aspect ratio, density, orientation bias etc
Use with care it has not been well tested, but if you only want one type
hopefully it will help understand how the code works. Any questions,
feel free to ask, I wrote it a few years ago, memory fades
