There is a workaround, though. If you change 'Files of type:' to 'All files
(*)' in the Open dialog, opening the 'thconfig' file works.

I'm quite sure it used to work some time ago and there was no change in
xtherion source in this respect, so I guess something had to change in the
tcl/tk library in Debian. The version of tcl/tk used for the windows
installer doesn't have this bug.
