Sorry, I didn't read your first mail to the end.

You use definition of overall map inside of thconfig, what is possible, but not used.

Better way should be to define it in Fingernailviatpvtovortex2.th in survey Fingernailviatpvtovortex2 as third map definition

map Fingernailtovortex2​
  tpv​
  break​
  lower [-0 30 m] below​
endmap​

tvp and lower are maps defined from scraps and map Fingernailtovortex2 is map defined from two others maps. 

And use only simple thconfig:

source Fingernailviatpvtovortex2.th

export …..
