[Therion] Remove individual symbols from legend

It's winter here so I'm drawing maps.

 

>From time to time I don't want particular symbols to turn up in the legend.
Is it possible to turn off individual legend symbols, relatively easily with
a layout statement?

For example if I want border variants to be removed from the legend?

 



And just on the off chance. has anyone come up with metapost for a line root
(a root that travels along the floor)?
