Hello
You can make XVI with integrated image through "sketches morphing" feature
1) Create thconfig like this
=== thconfig_xvi ===
source my_centerline.th
source my_xvi.th2
export map -o my.xvi -layout-sketches on
==============
2) create my_xvi.th2
3) Add background image to my_xvi.th2
4) Add scrap
5) Add your background image to scrap (see scrap panel in XTherion)
6) Add your stations to scrap (e.g. point station -name 1 at my_centerline)
in places where it situated on map
7) Compile, morphing should started
8) Produced XVI should contain your scaled (and morphed) image
