[Therion] Making potractors

I prefer a slightly modified version of the Steve Wells and Joe Zokaites protractor. A4 PDF with 1:500 and 1:1000 protractors at:http://hmg.three-tuns.net/media/surveysymbols/protractor-simple.pdf
We've also tried some colour versions of the Therion protractor: http://hmg.three-tuns.net/media/surveysymbols/protractor-mix.pdf
We use a colour laser printer, cut out each protractor, and then "laminate" them individually by covering them several layers of clear sticky tape. The tape needs to be wider than the protractor, so you can place the protractor on the tape and then fold the tape over along the ruler-edge side of the protractor. This gives you a nice smooth ruler-edge for drawing your centreline.
We tried using a thermal laminating machine. It was fine as long as we left a border of laminate around the edge of the protractor. But if we trimmed it flush with the protractor's ruler-edge, then the laminate invariably started splitting after only a few trips.
Cheers,
Erin

It was „printed“ on film in imagesetter machine (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imagesetter). Then laminated by thermal lamination films.

You may find working imagesetters in companies which are doing silk-screen printing or screen printing.
