Whilst on the subject of PDF readers - I would encourage anybody who
notices a public institution with 'get Adobe Acrobat' icons on their
pages to point out to them that they shouldn't do that because it's
illegal state promotion of a specific company, and to use
pdfreader.org links instead: http://pdfreaders.org/graphics.en.html

PDF readers have not been specific to Adobe to more than a decade, but
it's still standard practice to suggest that they provide the only
option. As you are all aware that option is less than ideal in various
way.
