[Therion] Customising map layout

I’ve tried out the following example from thbook adding this to my layout
 
 code tex-map
    \def\maplayout{ 
      \legendbox{0}{100}{NW}{\northarrow}
    }
  endcode

This works fine for \northarrow and \scalebar but when I tried it with \cavename or \comment I get the following error
