There was one problem with the release. The tarball contains
xtherion/ver.tcl this is a generated file which shouldn't be in the
release so far as I can see, and having it breaks things because the
verison shipped is generated on a DOS/Windows machine and thus has a
DOS/windows linefeed. Doing a build on a linux machine rewrites this
file with a unix linefeed, so subsequent builds fail due to modified
source files. Yes this is picky, but it is usually wrong to ship
generated files in the source. Is there a good reason for this and if
so what can we do about it?
