Please provide some more details. Which version of therion did you
install. What sort of 'not work'? The gui doesn't start? You can't run
therion from the command line? Loch/therion-viewer doesn't work?

It would also be good to file a bug on launchpad using the
bug-reporting tool as that will collect some details about your
machine which will help.

Therion runs fine on my work machine, which is Ubuntu Precise (12.04)

I have not upgraded my ubuntu machine to quantal (12.10), which is
presumably what you means by 'Ubuntu 12' above? So I've not tried it,
but I'd be surprised if it didn't work at all.
