[Therion] Compiler Preview Pane

Wow Stacho, that's cool!
It works with some limitations (in version 5.2.5) in Windows XP, at least
most of the time. It tends to close all open pdf files however and in this
case can cause the odd "error -- cp exit code -- 1" with more complicated
thconfig files that create two maps and insert one into the other.
My mistake was looking for something previewed in Xtherion. It works by
opening and closing the output pdf document in Acrobat Reader, (as you
pointed out) and avoids having to manually open and close the pdf document
each time you compile to avoid the dreaded "error -- cp exit code -- 1".
One less thing to think about :)
It seems to work if I paste in the full path and file name of the pdf
document that I want to display, (a bit tedious) as well as if I type in a
relative path from the location of the thconfig file (much easier). Is this
how it is meant to be?
It means you can 'set and forget' the output file to be viewed at the start
of each editing session, and for the duration of that editing session
Acrobat will always be displaying the most current version of the file.
Brilliant!
I am fairly happy with it as it is. Allowing it to work while multiple pdf
documents are open would be nice, but not a high priority if it is tedious
to implement.
If I was being greedy I'd ask for a dropdown box in the preview field that
remembered the last 10 output files used!
Have a nice day
Bruce

Well, you should put in this field the name of PDF file and it should
be displayed after compilation in Adobe Acrobat Viewer. Before
compilation, it tries to close file open in acrobat reader and then it
tries to reopen it.
Unfortunatelly, it is very difficult to control Acrobat Reader in
Win32 environment, and therefore it probably does not work. I will
leave this box only for linux version probably.
