To respond to the second part of my own post (repeated below).
I see the set of samples, "q-marks" that install with Therion prove that it
IS possible to document continuations both in scraps and in survey data, and
get output exported to pdf and to a continuation list. Very nice! I'll
study it some more.
I notice that the comments from the scrap input can be plotted to pdf via
some meta post code.
Is it possible to also plot comments to pdf that are input via survey data?
That would make it truly versatile.

When exporting a continuation list, I only get continuations listed that are
entered in the survey data. Should it be possible to obtain continuations
drawn in scraps, with Therion 'finding' the nearest survey station and
survey title to report in the continuation list?
Probably this would need a command within each survey and each scrap similar
to the 'Walls [on/off/auto]' , but instead, 'Continuations [on/off/auto]',
so that control over what is exported is maintained.
