Can I rotate a map?

I've had a request from the editor to send him a therion map rotated 90
degrees so it fits better on the page.

We can simply rotate the whole image, but it is possible to print a map with
the text upright but north rotated? This is often useful for getting maps to
fit on a page more efficiently (I've done it before for paper surveys), so
if it's not currently a feature can we add it to the wishlist?

I read the layout command, and whilst finding various fun things I didn't
see a way to address this problem
