Re: [Therion] new symbol for therion : a hammer
To respond to the second part of my own post (repeated below). I see the set of samples, "q-marks" that install with Therion prove that it IS possible to document continuations both in scraps and in survey data, and get output exported to pdf and to a continuation list. Very nice! I'll study it some more. I notice that the comments from the scrap input can be plotted to pdf via some meta post code. Is it possible to also plot comments to pdf that are input via survey data? That would make it truly versatile. Bruce _____ " And on a similar topic; When exporting a continuation list, I only get continuations listed that are entered in the survey data. Should it be possible to obtain continuations drawn in scraps, with Therion 'finding' the nearest survey station and survey title to report in the continuation list? Probably this would need a command within each survey and each scrap similar to the 'Walls [on/off/auto]' , but instead, 'Continuations [on/off/auto]', so that control over what is exported is maintained. "
This functionality of therion is being redesigned right now - it believe it will be possible to plot comments from centerline in the scrap map.I will try to update q-marks samples, when I will finish it - should be done this week. Thank goodness for your response. I just upgraded to the latest windows snapshot, and I noticed the syntax around continuations has changed, incompatible between versions. There are 2 incompatibilities in fact. I am sorry for that: 1. -code option is not supported anymore. But same result can be achieved using user defined attributes - just replace "-code" with "-attr code" and it should work as before. Is it a big problem? 2. Handling of continuation comments will be a little bit different in metapost. New MP codes will be included in samples. Regards, S. Anayway, the changes are among developers' snapshots. We try to avoid incompatible changes after there is a relese. Martin
Thanks I had figured out the first for myself. Luckily I have not entered too many of those yet.
