I created a larger background image for my growing map and now I am getting the following message: therion: warning -- background.th [7] -- error reading bitmap -- unable to determine image size -- images/background.jpg Is there a maximum supported size for JPG? My new background is 15,132x11,340. Or is it possible to input multiple surfaces for a background, so I could break that one large image into smaller tiles? Thanks! Carl
There should not be any size limit on JPG file, but probably algorithm that therion uses to parse JPG file for its size failed. I will try to determine, where the problem is. In any case, multiple surfaces are possible, but only for PDF output. Regrads, S. On 28 September 2011 18:07, Carl Magnuson <magnu213@umn.edu> wrote:

I think I figured it out. I tried cutting the background into 4 sections and making 4 surfaces and it also didn't work. I compared the new images to the old background I had and saw the new ones were saved as progressive scan JPGs. I resaved them as non-progressive JPGs and it worked fine.
