Hello Is -layout-survey-level works for XVI export? -- WBR, Vasily
Vasily It seems not, I have just experimented with some xvi files, both very small and large, pockettopo generated and therion generated. I think that the survey-level might only have been intended to be used with 'debug station-names', and so was perhaps never intended for xvi files. My experiments lead me to believe that for xvi outputs, the default is always; survey-level all For pdf outputs, the default is as in the Therion Book, Survey-level 0 As a workaround you could perhaps achieve a similar effect by limiting the scope of your source files or selected surveys. XVI export used minimal of possible survey level, as I see. Therion exports only station numbers if you select single sub-survey of cave

I need reverse effect: ===== unselect cave select part1.part2.part3.cave export map -o 1.xvi -layout-survey-level all ===== But in XVI I had only station numbers, not number@part1.part2.part3.cave. And after insert "point station" in th2 I should add @part1.part2.part3.cave into text editor It's not a big problem, but recently I discover "survey-level" and had a hope :) -- WBR, Vasily
Vasily Interesting, I do get the reverse effect (more or less) as below. If I export with the entire cave selected I get ALL the survey levels (in this case 2) ... set XVIgrids {100.0 m} set XVIstations { { 1509.49 687.60 a1@a.MiddleEarth} { -578.28 -471.77 AA1@AA.MiddleEarth} { -591.96 -436.85 AA2@AA.MiddleEarth} { -589.51 -459.88 AA3@AA.MiddleEarth} If I export a single survey I get NO survey levels ... set XVIgrids {100.0 m} set XVIstations { { -177.37 -39.47 ie1.34} { -157.96 -36.00 ie1.48} { -163.48 -52.97 ie1.49} (These are from pockettopo, so the .34 etc is the station number, not the survey 'level')
But in XVI I had only station numbers, not number@part1.part2.part3.cave. And after insert "point station" in th2 I should add @part1.part2.part3.cave into text editor
BTW adding this to the scrap definition will mean you only have to type it once. -station-names [] @part1.part2.part3.cave ## avoids including in individual station names Bruce

Same.
