Good news for all MetaPost fans! Therion 0.2.17 supports * easy switching among predefined map symbol sets (symbol-set, symbol-assign, symbol-hide options of the layout command) * customized map symbols loaded in the run-time (new symbols may be defined inside of 'code metapost' section of the layout command) There is no need to recompile Therion when new symbols are added. * optical map scaling (base-scale option) Regards, Martin

OK, Having been too slow to do 0.2.16 due to being on holiday I've debianised 0.2.17 (it gets easier every time as you guys incorporate most of my changes - thanx). The only thing stopping me from uploading is that the original source archive contains a 3Mb 'screendump' X image, which I suspect is there accidentally. Is that right? if it's a mistake then I'll remove it from the 'therion-0.2.17.orig.tar.gz' source tarball and build against that. This tarball should be exactly as released by the authors but it seems a shame to give them 3Mb of pointless screendump if they don't need it - so I'm checking with you guys first. And the new bac module seems to be designed to calculate blood alcohol levels after getting pissed - I can't quite see the (direct) relevance to cave drawing of this? What do I use it for? :-) Wookey -- Aleph One Ltd, Bottisham, CAMBRIDGE, CB5 9BA, UK Tel +44 (0) 1223 811679 work: http://www.aleph1.co.uk/ play: http://www.chaos.org.uk/~wookey/

Yes, it should not be there.

It is only an experimental funny Help feature - therefore it's placed in the Help menu. From my experience, blood alcohol level has quite important influence on number of errors made, when drawing maps with xtherion - not very idiot resistant interface :) Regards, S.

OK. I've now (finally) uploaded the new version after Debian and I both sorted ourselves out after the recent server breakin. Autobuilding will proceed slowly as things are still catching up. http://qa.debian.org/developer.php?login=wookey&comaint=yes and http://packages.qa.debian.org/t/therion.html Wookey -- Aleph One Ltd, Bottisham, CAMBRIDGE, CB5 9BA, UK Tel +44 (0) 1223 811679 work: http://www.aleph1.co.uk/ play: http://www.chaos.org.uk/~wookey/
