5.3.10 works OK for most of my datasets I think. Will look through the symbol sets in due course... My largest dataset has a problem though, as below. Bruce 2013.1.1 21.7741 scanning centreline tree ... done searching for centerline loops ... done calculating station coordinates ... D:\Program Files\Therion\therion.exe: error -- a software BUG is present (thdb1d.cxx:2290) writing xtherion file ... done
I am really sorry. But unless you can extract a dataset, that causes the problem, I am not able to fix it :( I will diff thdb1d.cxx changes and see, where potentially error can be, but some dataset, that causes this problem would help a lot. All my datasets seems to work fine. S.
Stacho The error that I experienced was not caused by the change from 5.3.9 to 5.3.10 but rather I suspect a recent change that I made in my dataset. So most likely my fault in not identifying the cause correctly. I get the same error for particular thconfig files and selections regardless of the therion version, and other thconfig files are OK in both versions. The debug version you sent me gives this; . Thanks a lot bruce, I think I have an idea what is going on. "nosurvey" part of code is quite new one, and it may be a problem. I will try to check it. It is definitely a problem of therion - it should at least generate some reasonable error, not a bug report ;) Thanks a lot, S. On 21 August 2012 12:34, Bruce <bruce@tomo.co.nz> wrote:

Excellent! Just did a quick test with my project cave in North Yorkshire. The KML file was generated in the correct location using the OSGB grid for the Yorkshire Dales, and the KML was opened in GoogleEarth without needing tweaking for white space either. Thank you! Therion 5.3.10 has been uploaded to debian unstable, and is now built for all architectures: https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=therion http://packages.qa.debian.org/t/therion.html I note that the patches for 5.3.9 which would be useful upstream have not been merged into the source: e.g. the therion.svg scaleable icon the loch manpage avoiding a segfault when no langugae is specified loch double-buffering build-system fixes: correct sample clean target The patches can easily be reviewed here: http://patch-tracker.debian.org/package/therion/5.3.9-4 (for some reason http://patch-tracker.debian.org/package/therion/5.3.10-1 is not working, but not much has changed) Perhaps some of this stuff has been fixed in different ways and these patches are no longer relevant? It would be good to have a smaller delta to maintain, and the .svg file I think is particularly important to include (and would be very nice to use on the splash screen) 5.3.10 will not progress into testing until after Wheezy has been released (maybe around christmas?), and won't get into Ubuntu until after Quantal is released end October. Hopefully that won't inconvenience anyone much. Wookey -- Principal hats: Linaro, Emdebian, Wookware, Balloonboard, ARM http://wookware.org/

And perhaps surprisingly, more than 70 debian users (who also run popcon and submit results) have therion installed on their machines: http://qa.debian.org/popcon.php?package=therion And for any of you that haven't noticed, the band is really good too :-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_0FdLPu-KY (over 100 vids on youtube) Wookey -- Principal hats: Linaro, Emdebian, Wookware, Balloonboard, ARM http://wookware.org/
