I would like to convert the attached th survey into a survex txt file. I manually set the standard deviation for distance and compass in the th and I want to see if it is translated correctly into an svx file. In the thcfg file I tried an export command to svx but it didn't give a readable output. Would anyone know how to convert the th into svx please? Thank you Francesco

You just have to: specify the * in front of commands, switch the begin and end comands, move the title to its own command remove the centreline commands, remove the extend commands (that is done in a separate config file with survex, using eleft and eright commands), add a "cs out" Attached converted file that you can use to learn from.

and switch the splays to the correct splay type. I used .. (a normal splay).

Hi, try to use AI tools - I´ve recently made two convertors (html apps) with Claude Opus 5 just in two - three prompts (!). One for conversion GPX data to Therion with database structure, configs, separate folders, remarks ect., yesterday from ancient Abisso sw to Therion... These days you can probably just ask an AI to make it do the reverse :-) Yes I did it earlier but as usual you need a few iterations (it misses the sd command and sometimes it translates it wrongly) - I would need something more reliable because I need to transform around 50 th files.
