Hi all, I wrote a preliminary text about therion on "english" It is not finished, but I would get some feedback. So, if you have a little bit of spare time, you could visit http://www.infonegocio.com/tatel/therion_for_cavers.txt and drop a word about it on the list. Gramatical corrections will be welcome ;-) I know, this will be on wiki... when finished. Cheers, Roman

So it is calcalated automatically? Could I, say to have a survey with year 2000 declination value and centerlines in it will be adjusted to respective dates?
"grid top" line is not necessary. Currently this is ignored and grid is created all the time on the bottom.
"Auto adjust" should be now called automatically - when new background image is inserted.
OK,I will update this.
This is a BUG in therion-book - I am sorry. First number should mean height above water level and the second depth of water. I have seen this symbol only in this context of water level - never in the context of ceiling/floor specification.
To add specification of UP/DOWN dimensions in the 2D map for 3D model, we have point type dimensions in the TODO list.
Ooops. I will update this too. BTW, my model seems to have some height information, where it comes from? Probably I'll drop passage-height part, but I would replace it for more accurate information. Regards, Roman
Great work! When finished, it will certainly help a lot of people. OK, my remarks:
You can add other specification lines to your centerline data. In fact, you should specify (at least) date, declination, team members and data

"Background image" panel control is the "Drawing area" panel control. You can press the "Auto adjust" button so canvas dimensions adapt to .xvi image automatically. Click on rectangle next to "Zoom 100%" to

Passage-height points are important because 3D model are build according to them. Insert a point where passage-height is known. Then select "passage-height" from point's type menu. In the options textbox, write:
value <number> <number>
Where first <number> is distance to ceiling and second one is dastance to floor.

Yes. You can specify declination for 1990 and 2000 (e.g. -declination [1990 2.0 2000 3.0 deg]), and all centerlines between will be adjusted (e.g. in 1995, declination 2.5deg will be used).

It is generated on the base of survey shot lengths (long shots = big passages, small shots = small passages). In any case - therion should use at least specified UD information - I will try to add it soon. Regards, S.

You may generate the declination for one datum or for time interval on page: http://www.ngdc.noaa.gov/seg/geomag/jsp/struts/calcDeclination/ and copy/paste it to your .th file. MS. --
