Making map with centreline and scraps mixed
I wan't to make a large area overview map. We have centreline data for all of it, but only some caves have been drawn in therion. How (is it possible) to show the caves with therion data in outline form (i.e. walls only), but the other caves in centreline-only form. I can get it with them all showing centreline and therion caves showing walls, or walls only, and nothing at all for centreline-only caves, but not what I want. Does the revise command help here? I know select terikanplan@terikan.Mulu selects the map terikanplan but I'm not sure what the correct syntax for selecting a centreline is: would it just be terikan.Mulu? or terikan@mulu? Just to be sure, I understand you correctly: Do you want to have walls, where there are walls available (without centerline) and centerline where there are no walls available? If you will select nothing, then centerline of entire system is drawn on the background. But this is probably what you do not want.

Unfortunatelly, it is not yet possible to select surveys for map output. Survey selection is valid only for model outputs :( S.

Exactly.

Indeed. The other problem with this (worse than the 'extra' centerline) is that if you colour by map there is just colour. I want to 'colour by cave' which means either cave-level survey or cave-level map. (we also have some strange effects with maps appearing at the top level which should only appear lower down - this is probably the subject for another mail).

Oh dear. OK. That's a new item for the wishlist, then. Wookey -- Aleph One Ltd, Bottisham, CAMBRIDGE, CB5 9BA, UK Tel +44 (0) 1223 811679 work: http://www.aleph1.co.uk/ play: http://wookware.org/

Stacho, just thinking in postscript - what about to combine two maps - one only with centerline and second with walls on top of it. It will cover the centerline where are the walls. It is possible to do in Illustrator. In therion...? Martin
