trouble with warped sketches drawing in the wrong place
Hello all, I've been having some trouble with warped sketches lately that has me puzzled. All of the sketches are offset from the generated map, but the offset varies from scrap to scrap. Furthermore, the offset is applied before the sketches are morphed, as the sketches are clearly being deformed differently than the walls, even though they should be identical. I should note that I am not applying any specific offsets to any portions of the map, which consist of only a single scrap. Any ideas are much appreciated! th and thconfig files are after the screenshots. Thanks very much in advance!! Sincerely, Jonny Example, Map 1: [image: image.png] Example, Map 2: [image: image.png] Output of therion -v therion 5.5.6 (2020-12-27) - using Proj 6.3.1, compiled against 6.3.1 Sample th file for one of the maps above: survey hh import cave.3d -surveys ignore input hh2aug03.th2 map scrap_hh2aug03v_pl_1 -proj plan hh2aug03v_pl_1 endmap scrap_hh2aug03v_pl_1 endsurvey hh Sample thconfig file for one of the maps above: layout sketch scale 1 200 sketches on endlayout maps-offset off source map.th select hh export map -proj plan -fmt pdf -layout sketch -o hh2aug03v_pl_1.pdf
Hi Jonny, I have tried with my datasets, but the placing of sketches was in all cases OK. Do others have also such problems? Could you please provide more details? Which OS are you running? Was it also a problem with some previous versions? Ideally, are you able to send me some minimal sample where it happens? Thanks, S. Hi Stacho & Jonny Yes, I had this behaviour a few month ago on windows 10, but I did not found yet the time to characterize the problem with a minimal example to ask for help. I will try to see if I can reproduce it with a small example as soon as I find time. I remember that this was also happening with previous versions of therion (I tested at least 5 of them), I wonder if this not coming from the graphics library that displays the scraps. Hi Xavier, Thanks for your reply. You bring up a good point. I ran a quick check, and if I generate an SVG instead of a PDF, the faulty behavior also shows up. I also opened the files on Adobe Acrobat on a Windows 10 machine, which also shows the faulty behavior. -Jonny On Wed, Feb 3, 2021 at 3:58 AM Xavier Pennec <Xavier.Pennec@inria.fr> wrote:

Hello Stacho, I have not attempted to recreate this on older versions of therion. I will download some old releases and test them. I will also put together a small dataset that I can share.
