Therion or Survex 'language' styles
Hi I've been dabbling with EditPad, and as of the last few days, NotePad++ text editors for managing my Therion files. I've started making a custom 'Therion' 'language' style to help highlight the data structure, and it occurs to me that someone may have already done this for Survex or Therion data files. If so they might like to post to the forum to save me the trouble of reinventing. Bruce

I've been using Notepad++ to edit Survex files for some time, with custom highlighting.

This is only useful on Windows right? (i.e. there is no point adding this to the existing survex Debian package vim highlighting files?) Anyone done an emacs/jed highlighting mode yet? I have forwartded it to the survex list though so it can get into the distributed Windows version. Wookey -- Principal hats: iEndian - Balloonboard - Toby Churchill - Emdebian http://wookware.org/

Thanks Duncan If there are no more offers I'll backtrack on what I've started and use yours as a base for building a Therion style. I see that Notepad++ allows for Plugins to be developed to allow styles more closely matched to the finer points of languages than the xml style sheets do. Plugins are beyond me, but would be a nice project for someone, as I've already come up against one (minor) limitation of the xml approach (extending comments over multiple lines with \ does not seem to be possible).
