I don't know why, but kml files for my surveys produced by Therion appear to have stopped working in Google Earth. Any therion kml file I try (including ones which worked in the past) now just show a point in central Africa with the whole continent visible at the zoom level. If I zoom to where the cave survey should appear then I see nothing there. I have attached a very truncated sample kml file (I deleted most of the points from the polygon to keep it simple. Footleg
It`s the same by my kml-Files ever created. Could it (there must) be a new release of Google-Earth? I`am quiet sure; It is a/the new release of Google-Earth, because if you load it you get this Info: Do a look on the Date (Build-Datum) it is quiet new. I have the same problem for files not yet saved in my Google Earth Places (I get a circumferential equatorial cave circling the globe!), but for models and maps already saved in Google Earth Places they display perfectly. All the files I have checked were created in 5.3.8 or earlier. That is an easy fix! I just confirmed this using a text editor by doing a search and replace for all <space> and <tab> characters in one of my Therion generated KML files, replacing the whitespace characters with nothing (excluding the first few lines containing the name and description elements. This edited file works fine in Google Earth. I'll look forward to a bug fix in Therion avoiding putting in the white space in due course ;-) Footleg On 21 November 2011 08:35, Martin Sluka <martinsluka@mac.com> wrote:
