Thanks Bruce, I didn't know that. Last time I tried I was trying to generate two different plan PDFs from one thconfig file, and found I got the same PDF output. But I had not realised that multiple maps were being included in that output.

What I had tried to do was combine several outputs into one file by doing something like this:

select <map1>
export <plan pdf of map1>
select <map2>
export <plan pdf of map2>

As I understand this now, this still would not work as I intended. But it would generate two PDFs both containing both map1 and map2 right?

Had a quick skim through your tutorial today, one thing stood out as incorrect.

“Note that you can only use one select statement in a thconfig file, and it does not matter where in the file you put it. I always put it at the top so it is easy to spot. If you put in select statements for more than one map then only one of them will be used.“

We routinely use thconfig files with multiple select statements for maps with the same projection.

All of the maps are produced in the resulting pdf (and other) files.  As with Therion’s typical treatment of lists of drawn entities, the first map listed is in the top layer of the pdf, and the last map is in the bottom layer.
