I did modify therion.ini and xtherion.ini, but I just didn't see them to have any effect
Anyway, this is not a problem for the moment. I was mostly interested in the GUI language.
Thanks for the help.

.new.ini files are overwritten with every therion update. From time to time, there new options appear there.But therion/xtherion reads only .ini files, that are not overwritten, to keep your changes. You should modify these.S.On 2 October 2014 00:53, <vladimirg@mail.bg> wrote:Thanks a lot, that helped with the language setting.
I tried editing both therion.ini and xtherion.ini, but I didn't notice this line. Actually there were also therion.new.ini and xtherion.new.ini, which I also tried.
So how about the other settings in those files, like the new project template, toolbar settings, initial folder, etc? What should I do to change those?Vladimir

Have you tried to edit also xtherion.ini file?Uncommenting line# ::msgcat::mclocale enshould help.S.On 1 October 2014 10:05, <vladimirg@mail.bg> wrote:Hello
I had used Therion briefly in the past and now installed the latest version for Windows.
It is working well, but there seems to be a problem with the settings stored in therion.ini and xtherion.ini.
My Windows language is Bulgarian, but I wanted the GUI in English, so I uncommented the "language en_uk" line in therion.ini. This doesn't seem to have any effect and also changing any other setting in these files like toolbars, balloon hints, template, etc.
The app is installed in the default "C:Program Files (x86)Therion" location and the ini files are also there.
Am I missing something here?
Thanks
